“ This does not look like a place where you'd find a restaurant. It's buried in a weird cul-de-sac amongst various businesses with not a lot of other food around. Searching it out, however, is worthwhile for the distinctive South Indian menu. Ordering a dosa yielded some butter on top and a green vegetable mix that was available as a weekend special. The dosa itself was a little softer and spongier than I like, but I enjoyed the filling. I was hoping for something light in ordering a pav bhaji, but ended up with a pair of them; the rare experience where I get more food for the money than I thought I was going to get. The garnishes really made the dish. A chai came unsweetened, which I appreciate. One orders at a kiosk; this probably does help with communication as despite my experience with the cuisine, no one ever accused me of being able to pronounce words in Kannada correctly (or any other Indian language). This place isn't fancy, but the cuisine is worth coming for. ”

“ Definitely was on my list for a while, was not disappointed at all. Amazing fresh food, hot crunchy dosas, sambhar was good and chutneys were too. Idli and Medhu vada was good too. Vada pav good but quite spicy. Overall food was great. It's self service and a no frills place. But highly recommend if you are looking for simple home made South Indian Bangalore style food. ”

“ We ordered the masala dosa, mango lassi and vada, all the food came out hot and tasted fresh, lassi's are premade in the help yourself fridge section this place is inexpensive, but it's a no frills, serve yourself, cheap eats, kinda place. They don't serve fresh coconut chutney which I really missed and they only give you a small amount of sambar, wish there was an option for a large cup. But will definitely return to try out the rest of their menu ”

“ I discovered this place through a DMV-Ashburn desi Facebook group, where a bunch of uncles were raving about it, and that was the first indication that this place was going to be legit Despite the distance, I ventured there with high expectations. I ordered the dahi podi idli and the masala dosa- the lady at the register suggested trying the mysoor dosa for added spice. My brother opted for the same dosa along with dahi poori and masala chai. Overall, the restaurant lived up to its reputation. The dosa was excellent, accompanied by delicious chutneys, although I missed having a coconut chutney I usually enjoy with dosa or maybe that's just the Pakistani in me. The idli was good, though a bit tough in the center. The dahi poori was great & flavorful and I wished it had a little more Imli in it. My brother wasn't fond of the tea, but based on other reviews, the coffee seems to be a hit--I might try that next time. I plan to return back for the dosa and to explore other items from their menu. I'll also add that it's a small women-owned business so hats off to them for running this great place. ”

“ My friend recommended this cafe as it is newly opened. We ordered Chilli onion masala dosa and masala dosa. Both were tasty and accompanied by two chutneys and sambar. Their prices were reasonable and service warm and friendly. Would highly recommend this place. I will be definitely going back. ”

“ Delicious and fresh food served in a barebones establishment with some first day opening missteps. Stopped in today on their first day open. I would liken it to the atmosphere of Amma's Kitchen. We ordered the chocolate cheese dosa, chocolate cheese sandwich, set dosa, onion and chili dosa, kesari bath, and medhu vada. Several of the items that we were interested in ordering were not available which was disappointing. The standout was clearly the onion and chili dosa and the medhu vada. It was served alongside a coconut and red chutney as well as Sambhar. We will definitely be back to try other things and hopefully they can serve all the items that are listed on the menu. I did think the set dosa was very bland and did not come with the typical curry , it was served with aloo masala instead. ”

“ We are from Bangalore and we enjoyed this restaurant so much! My family visited on opening day. It was delicious! The dosas were excellent, the vadas were very good, and the coffee and chai were good too. The interior of the cafe is small with very few tables, so I'm glad we got one to enjoy. The person at the counter was very friendly. They are cooking items fresh, so there is a little wait, but it is worth it. We will definitely be back (especially for dosas)! ”
